What a fantastic day. It was Storm’s first ever show yesterday. Kirkintilloch & Lenzie Canine Society at Lanark. Storm got first in Shetland Sheepdog Junior, so we ended up in the Challenge for Best Shetland Sheepdog. Brodie (Storms Dad) took that particular honour and then got second in the Pastoral Group. Congtratulations Ellen & Brodie.
Then we were back in the ring for Special Minor Puppy (Pastoral) and wee Storm won that class too. So we had to challenge again against the winner of the puppy class, a beautiful Border Collie, for Best Pastoral Puppy. Storm won the challenge and we were going through to Best Puppy in Show!
So Storm ended up in the main ring at his very first show. So proud of my baby boy.
We didn’t get any further. By the time the puppies were called into the ring Storm was very tired and hungry. He was more interested in the discarded bait on the floor. We had been at the show since 9:30am at didn’t get home until after 6pm. A very long day for a minor puppy.
Thank you so much to Judges, Pat Corney (Yenroc) and Drew Littlejohn (Arcuilean) who thought so highly of our boy. Thanks to the committee of Kirky & Lenzie for all their hard work and a super show. A brilliant day out.
